The value of social networks in attracting new customers has been proven.  Today, Instagram is a real sales lever. But to take full advantage of this opportunity, there are a few rules to follow.

  1. An impactful biography

The average person who comes across a new Instagram account stays on it for just a few seconds. A few seconds should be enough to capture their attention. That’s why a simple, clear biography is so important. The potential customer needs to understand your page’s activity at a glance, and see if the content you’re offering could potentially appeal to them. 

To do this, it’s important touse keywords that explain what you do. Organic hashtags are not useful. 

What’s more, to help the reader understand you better, it’s a good idea to write a sentence showing what you’re going to bring them, in this case the added value they need.  Finally, the call to action at the end of the biography is essential, whether it’s sending a private message or redirecting to a website to increase your conversion rate. 

  1. Consistent graphics 

What is graphic consistency? Graphic consistency means choosing typography and colors that respect your world and your logo. Choosing your graphic charter isn’t the hardest part, but respecting it is! This means using the same typography, colors and shapes every time. In fact, it’s important to be able to find it in each of your contents, posts or stories, to better identify you. There’s an enormous amount of content on social networks, and the most important thing is to be able to stand out from the crowd. So, having a well-defined and respected graphic charter will enable your reader to easily recognize you in the midst of this pit of information.

Instagram is a goldmine of information whether on food, sport, spirituality and much more. With its multitude of profiles, content often looks the same and provides the same information, which is perfectly normal. However, the highlight is being able to differentiate with added value. What sets you apart from your competitors? Why you and not someone else? What do you have that others don’t? It’s important to ask these questions in order to understand how to deliver this value

  1. Choose an effective feed over a pretty one

Often, we focus solely on the harmony of the feed, whether the photos are beautiful, whether the posts have a logical sequence between them, and we forget the real issue behind content creation. The most important thing is to make it easy to understand the message and engage your followers. Good engagement makes it easier to sell your service or product. 

Give priority to content whose writing, for example, is visible and accessible to all. Remember that if your post appears in the explorer, it’s important that your message is understood at a glance. A title for your posts will be more effective than a nice photo. The challenge is tocatch the eye so that the user clicks on your content. 

  1. Work on interaction with your followers

An engaged community is one that buys and trusts you. Engaging your community starts with interacting with it. How? Using story interaction stickers, for example. Ask them how their day is going, which products they prefer. Ask them questions so that they can give their opinions, which will lead you to exchange ideas with them. This makes customers feel valued, and creates a feeling of trust and closeness.
